Privacy policy
Last updated October 14, 2026
This notice explains how bew! handles information when you use our app and website.
Account and login information
We use your Apple or Google account identifier to create or sign in to your bew! account.
Google Sign-In requests basic email and profile access. Its sign-in component may receive your email address, profile name and profile image address, retrieve this information from Google to complete sign-in, and temporarily store sign-in credentials on your device. We use a verified identity credential to authenticate you. You choose your bew! name and avatar; we do not automatically copy your Google name or download your Google profile photo. Google and Apple also process sign-in under their own privacy policies.
You choose your bew! Name and Username. We process any avatar or verified recovery email you add to provide those features.
Messages and your small circle
Connections between the app and the bew! service are encrypted. bew! processes and stores message content to deliver it to your chosen recipients. This includes the voice messages, photos and expressions you share, along with the sender, recipient, timing and read or listened status needed to operate the service.
Voice transcription is processed on your device. Audio is uploaded when you send a voice message, and an available transcript can be shared with that message.
Retention and deletion
Unread voice, photo and emoji messages remain available in bew! for up to 31 days after the service accepts them. After first listening or viewing, they remain available for a further 24 hours. Reopening a message or switching devices does not restart that period.
Message expiry removes normal access in bew! Cleanup of stored copies, device caches and backups can take additional time. Account, security and operational records are retained as needed to provide and protect the service, handle requests, or meet applicable requirements.
You can update your profile and delete your account in the app. For other privacy requests, contact [email protected].
Service providers and technical information
Our service providers support storage, delivery and notifications, including Amazon Web Services and Apple. Cloudflare hosts this website. These providers process information needed to operate their services.
To operate and protect bew!, we process device and session identifiers, notification registration, app and device information, IP addresses and limited operational diagnostics. We do not request your contacts, precise location or birthday as part of the core communication flow.
Cloudflare can process IP addresses, browser information and request logs to host and secure this website. If you contact us by email, we process the information you include to respond.
Children and families
bew! is for family and close friends. Children’s use requires the parental involvement and consent applicable to their situation. Signing in with Apple or Google confirms account access; it does not establish age, a guardian relationship or parental consent for bew!
Parents and guardians can contact us to review or request deletion of a child’s information, or withdraw consent where applicable.
Your choices and contact
We do not sell personal information or use bew! messages for advertising. You choose what to share, whether to add an avatar or a recovery email, and your available device and notification settings.
For privacy questions and data requests, write to [email protected].
We may update this notice as the service changes. The date above identifies this version; material changes will be reflected in the service’s notices as appropriate.
